Hydie first entered the music scene as a drummer, performing with rock/rap band Seraphim in London venues including Camden Barfly, Hertfordshire Forum and The Garage. Seraphim self-released their album ‘Ascendance’ in 2010 which has been compared stylistically to Rage Against The Machine and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Later in 2010, Hydie attended Tech Music Schools to study drums and worked as a session drummer for live shows and music videos. In 2014 Hydie went on a 10-day UK tour with Fallow Fields to promote their ‘Beast of Mind’ EP, which was featured in Kerrang! magazine.

In 2015 Hydie began singing with Rash LA, a pop/rap project with singer/songwriter Rash (Dappy, Birdhowz) and K88 (Junction 11) before leaving London to backpack around Europe and South America. Hydie attributes her inspiration behind the Hydie Humbles project to this international trip, where she gained media attention for hitchhiking across Sweden dressed as an angel with eccentric free-spirit Mathias Risberg.

In 2020, Hydie released her first single ‘Barcelona’ as solo artist Hydie Humbles, which was co-written and produced by Evil Genius UK. Within the first two weeks from the release, ’Barcelona’ received praise from blogs comeherefloyd and When The Wind Blows, had radio play on Soul Fusion Radio and Three Counties Radio, and was featured on major Spotify playlists including R&B Hits 2020 and Spotify & Chill – Music To Have Sex To.

Hydie Humbles can be identified by her relaxed rhythms and smooth, sultry vocals, blending new-age alternative R&B sounds with fresh pop twists.
